HOW TO
OVERVIEW
Workflows is HiWork's tool for moving clients and information through structured, approval-based processes. You decide the steps, the owners, the approvals, and what your clients see.
A workflow is a set of steps that moves client work from start to finish. Each step collects information, records a decision, or waits for an approval.
When a workflow runs, it becomes a process. A process is one run of that workflow from start to finish: it could be one client being onboarded, one candidate being hired, or one client uploading documents for review.
WHAT HIWORK REPLACES
Steps
In HiWork, every step shows its current stage, owner, and next action at a glance.
Fields
Each step collects what you need in one place, from short answers to full documents, all attached to the same record.
Transitions
Transitions tell the process where to go next: advance immediately, wait for approval, or reject and repeat.
Visibility
Internal steps stay with your team, and public steps can be shared with contacts through a link.
HOW TO
HiWork includes workflow templates built for teams that rely on reviews and approvals.
Start with a template: HiWork includes ready-to-use workflows for hiring, client onboarding, internal reviews, and more. Open one, adjust the steps, run your first workflow.
Build from scratch: If your process is specific to your business, start with an empty workflow and add the steps, fields, and transitions you need.

Whether you are onboarding a new client, reviewing a professional proposal, or signing off on a completed job, each workflow gives you a clear, repeatable process to follow.
